Holidays in St. Brelade
St Brelade in Jersey, including Portelet Bay, is one of the most picturesque areas in the Channel Islands. St Brelade’s Parish is located on the south and west coast and includes the pretty harbour village of St Aubin. St. Brelade possesses some of the most popular bays in Jersey, St. Brelade's Bay, Ouaisne and Portelet, with part of both St Ouen's Bay and St Aubin's Bay falling within the parish boundaries. Holidays in St Brelades are very popular and with a wide choice of hotels, some of the best beaches in Jersey, stunning scenery and a good selection of restaurants and bars, there is something for everyone in St Brelade.
The palm fringed beach of golden white sand at St. Brelade’s has been described by Alan Whicker as one of the loveliest in the world. The exclusive image of the area dates back to the 1950’s and 60’s when the first wealthy residents arrived on the island to set up home in and around the bay. The beaches of St. Brelade’s and Portelet are ideal for swimmers and small boats and pedaloes can be rented for a relaxing cruise of the bay. Alternatively, enjoy the stunning scenery on the walk out to Corbiere Point where the lighthouse marks the southwest tip of the island or venture along the cliff-top coastal paths.
The Parish Church, constructed during the 11th century and built from local granite, stands at the end of St Brelade Bay
