Holidays in St. Lawrence
St Lawrence is mostly an inland parish consisting of greenery and farmland and its seaboard is small with a short stretch of coastline along St Aubin's Bay. This Channel Island Parish is home to a variety of inland attractions including the Jersey War Tunnels. Dug out of solid rock, these are a popular Jersey holiday attraction to the area illustrating the compelling history of German occupation in Jersey, during the Second World War. Le Rât Cottage is a magnificent example of 17th century Jersey architecture. This quaint, photogenic property remains as one of the National Trust's most treasured possessions.
Additionally, St Lawrence is home to Hamptonne, Jersey's countrylife museum. Consisting of almost 300 years of Jersey's rural heritage in a collection of agricultural dwellings and meadows, these exhibits have been restored to their former glory.
