Holidays in St. Saviour

St Saviour in Jersey is located in the south east of the island and is the only parish in Jersey which is virtually landlocked, having only a small piece of access to the sea at Le Dicq. St Saviour is a large, sprawling and mainly urban parish housing much of St Helier's overspill. Surrounded by St Helier, St Clement, Grouville, St Martin and Trinity, St Saviour is a fantastic Jersey holiday destination, due to its great central location. This Jersey hamlet is home to some of the largest employers on the island including Jersey Dairy and The Jersey Evening Post.

This parish features the burial place of Jersey's most famous daughters, Emilie Charlotte le Breton, or as she is better known Lillie Langtry. The residence of Jersey's Lieutenant Governor is located in St Saviour, close to the Parish Church. Government House was the third of the Island's residences for the Governor, the first and second being Mont Orgueil and Elizabeth Castles. Today, Government House entertains over 3000 guests for events each year within the house and its surrounding grounds. This Jersey tourist attraction has received various visits from members of the royal family including HM the Queen who stayed on the Channel Islands in 2005 for the 60th anniversary of Liberation.
